Was it a chemical pregnancy???

Question

So i got 5 positive pregnancy test at home went to the ER for bad cramps i had a feeling something wasn't right. I had a miscarriage 2 months before at 12 weeks. So during my ER exam urine test came back negative they did blood work and my hcg level was 2 so it was considered negative by that time i was already bleeding.  I had for 6 days heavy bleeding which seemed like my period but much heavier and also was like a week late. Could it have been a chemical pregnancy? The pregnancy test tested positive but very faint.

I had 4 positives starting 5 days before af was suppose to be due then a week after af was due, at 5 weeks, I got my period. Guessing that was it for me to.

Yea, as your hcg levels go back to normal the tests will be lighter and lighter... My first bfp and then yesterday (a week after I miscarried)

Sounds like a chemical, I just had one and pretty much same thing happened. Sounds like your hcg declined before you went to the ER, you'd have a higher level then 2 to get a positive hpt you'd need at least a 6 for FRER. When I went to ER the bloodwork was hcg 13, pregnant, but I knew was declining because I got a positive digital which you need a higher level than 13.
