Keeping loved ones from kissing baby

Lauren • Baby boy Nate born 10-07-17

I just read an absolutely devastating story of a couple in Iowa. Their brand newborn baby passed from Herpes Simplex Virus after over a week of fighting simply because someone with a cold sore kissed her. The virus spread throughout her body and she was just too tiny to fight it. I know OBs recommend the TDAP vaccine for those who will be around baby frequently, so we are having my husband and both sets of grandparents get it. But my father in law rolled his eyes at me when I said he needed to get it done. I'm sure if I tell them (my in laws) no kisses for baby they will huff and puff about it. I don't mind putting my foot down and being assertive about this, but is there a polite way to say it? They already think I'm going overboard because I won't use their bassinet that has no breathable sides and an old mattress.
