Passion?

I have been with my husband for 8 years all together including before we were married. He has never finished inside me, I was on birth control for 6 of those years and we always used condoms as well. Baby is definitely in the future but not sure when, I'm just asking is it normal to lose interest in having sex? I feel like there's no passion, that we haven't felt that type of connection of him finishing inside me, is that wrong to feel? I just feel horrible for even saying it.
