Anyone dizzy and drunk feeling on metformin?😫😭😰

I'm only on 500mg but for the past few days I can't sleep through the night, I wake up at 3am every night feeling tingly in my arms and my hearts racing. During the day I keep feeling like I'm in a fog. 
Please reply? I'm losing my shit. 😫

It is most likely the pills lower your blood sugar, which is what they do since they are a anti-diabetic med. I carry almonds and crackers around with me to snack on when my blood sugar feels low. But the symptoms you are experiencing are symptoms of low blood sugar just make sure you have small snacks about every two hours and you should be fine. And drink plenty of water too!

Are you eating with a meal? I'm on Metformin ER and three weeks in I'm adjusting well. I still get nauseous but not as bad. I take it like clockwork at 7pm, 30 minutes after a meal with a full glass of water. You should definitely talk to your doctor and see if you can split the 500mg for a week or two and work your way up like I did.
