IUD EXPERIENCE?

I got my IUD in a week ago on the day after my period ended, but since then I have been bleeding nonstop. Does anyone have experience with having an IUD? When will this end!!!

I got my IUD in January, and spotted Feb-March and haven't had a period since. It kind of depends on you and how your body reacts to it. I've heard people say they cramped for months, I only cramped for a day and it wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to seem.

It gets better!! Took me a week to not be in agonizing pain. Lots of Advil and heating pads. You'll get through it!!

I got mine in about a week ago as well and still have cramping and bleeding. Have been told it's normal.

Hi ! I got Skyla in March & right after I had god awful cramps & spotting that never seemed to end. I was constantly messaging my GYN to find out it this was abnormal but she reassured me that it takes roughly 6 months for your body to adjust & regulate to a "normal" cycle. I would wait it out if I were you, mine has gotten a lot better. Fewer cramps & I haven't had a full period as of yet; just spotting. Only downside is that I never know when it's coming or going so I literally always have a pants liner on smh
