Having sex every other day or everyday?

So my husband and I have been TTC for about 4 months now and iv read that having sex every other day or every three days gives the sperm time to "recharge" but it is so hard for us! Does anyone know if it is true? I just feel like it's backwards to not have sex as much to conceive I could be wrong!! What are y'alls thought?

I know this isn't an answer directly to your question. but I thought I'd share my experience and what I've noticed through my friends pregnancies. So after probably 6 or 7 months TTC, me and my hubby decided we were going to "stop trying". though we still wanted a baby the stress it brought was actually hindering the process and the emotional roller-coaster when your a day or two late only to get it or a negative test. so yes we still did it frequently but without the stress the enjoyment came back and about a month of not trying boom I'm now 20 weeks along. I know it sounds counterintuitive but it's the same with most people I know. Now every situation is different but I know I was way to stressed and it felt more like a chore. just my two pennies

this is our 2nd month trying. The first month we did it every single day for like 18 days. Which didn't work 😑 This month we did mostly every other day..did do it 3 in a row around ovulation. So we shall seeeee. I've read conflicting things too

My OBGYN is also a fertility specialist and he says every other day!
