When should my first appointment as high-risk?

My daughter was stillborn in April at 26 weeks with the cause unknown. Recently I've been experiencing severe itching/rash and realized I had a milder version of this last pregnancy. I was researching on google and came across cholestasis and read that it increases the risk of stillbirth. My OB set my first appointment for 7 weeks. I'm 4 weeks now. Is this too late since I am considered high risk? 
During my last pregnancy they didn't do such a good job at responding to my concerns. I had lots of funky symptoms that they deemed normal. Should I find another OB or am I overreacting?

7 weeks is reasonable. They can't really even see much in an ultrasound before that. I have an incompetent cervix and that's about when my doctor will see me too. I'm so sorry for your loss! I had a second trimester loss as well and it was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I'm sure they'll take your concerns more seriously this time.

Hi I'm high risk for GD and had 2 still born baby's and one MC last year.
I was told by a OB Dr that I shouldn't get pregnant again well it happened again a year ago from my MC.
Anyways I went threw a pregnancy center who did my pregnancy test and helped me get the right Dr so right away I made my appointment I was maybe 9 weeks and I told him my past experience and he was in it he's got me in with a high risk Dr as well. . Thank god so if you're not confutable with ur Dr switch up!!
And take it easy!! I know it's so hard I'm 19 weeks 1 days and I'm freaking out all the time.. best luck

They are being reasonable cause you can't really see anything till 8 weeks anyways. BUT I would switch drs cause if they dismissed all your symptoms last time what makes you think they're not gonna do that again this time. Find a dr you're comfortable with and understands you want a healthy living baby this time around.

I had cholestasis during my first pregnancy. I didn't know until I was 34 weeks and ended up losing her at 35. They did an ok job but I still feel that they could've done a better job and she would be here. I live in Australia and they usually see people at 16 weeks in the public system. I got seen at 12 weeks. It's uncommon for it to show up really early but still possible. I got put on a medication called URSO at 20 weeks as my bile levels hit 40. I now have my rainbow baby. I guess the hospital learnt from the first experience.

I think they are being reasonable. I'm a high risk patient and they saw me at 7 weeks. Before that I paid for a scan to confirm at 6 weeks and they were able to see the heartbeat but to start hearing it's only after 8 weeks some dr say they like to wait until 12 weeks... at 4 weeks baby is still very small, the size of a poppy seed and the itching could be the increase of hormones..

I'm high risk and my first appointment was 8 weeks. There's not a whole lot they can see until that point. I would try not to stress about it. :-)
