Baby shower?

I'm thinking of doing a gender reveal at the baby shower. So we will cut the cake. And have a proper dinner or lunch served. What else to do with no games  at baby shower? I dot even have friends or family nearby lol friends that we haven't met in 2-3 years. Also my parents and husbands parents are buying everything so I'm confused why do I want to have a baby shower or welcome party? Any ideas on how to make this situation better and have a nice party?

We did a barbecue and just hung out. We grilled out, opened gifts and just relaxed.

We did a taco bar for our gender reveal. At our shower, we decorated the table runners with blank bibs and blocks and let people decorate them while they mingled. We also had a diaper raffle and door prizes. To combine the two, I would ask for books and diapers, do a diaper raffle, have something for people to do while sitting there, and serve some food. It's the best of both worlds!

If your parents are buying everything you can just do a diaper party. Do your gender reveal cake.
