He's here :) 1 day over my due date. I woke up to my water broken slightly, not all the way, a high tear. I got my "bloody show", around 1am. my contractions at home were 5 minutes apart, not very strong at all. when I got to the hospital they became 6 minutes a part at 230am. I was still only at 1 and half cm when I got to the hospital. They did the tests to make sure my water was broken and it was positive. After that we had to stay, my contractions stayed around 6 to 10 minutes a part, the doctor came in around 8am and tried to break my waters more but baby boy already was pressed against my cervix so he really couldn't get anymore water to come out. only gave me until about 930am and then I started pitocin. First time on pitocin with no epidural, I had it with my 1st birth and my 2nd came all natural. So of course with my 3rd I wanted to try. My contractions became stronger and closer but it took for ever, they had me on the lowest drip. raised it every hour. by 3pm that day I was at 4cm. I was so tired! was up at entire time since 1am that day. At that point I just wanted to sleep so I got Nubain (however u spell it) it helped the contractions but they were 1 minute apart lasting for like a minute. ended up getting epidural and I was so happy after that. 7cm at 6pm and I went from 7 to 10cm quick and by 6:47pm he was born! im so in love!!
