Does your husband/SO go to your appointments?

My husband and I are having a debate about this!

He came to the first one and the 20 week ultrasound but I don't expect him to come to any more unless we start having  complications or when we get really close to delivery. He only gets 3 weeks paid time off every year and he wants to save as much of that as possible for when the baby arrives so he can have some time home with us.

He comes to as many as he can, but makes sure he makes it to the ones where we know for sure they are doing an ultrasound. If we know it's just a quick check up he won't always miss work which is fine, there's no reason for it.

My husband has missed two due to not being able to get out of work. But once they go weekly, starting this week, I don't expect him to go.

He goes there with me but doesn't go in with me when I'm actually called in to see the doctor. He doesn't really need to be there just to see me get weighed and pee in a cup lol. But he's went to all my ultrasounds.

My SO comes to them all only one he missed was when he was working at the info centre and was only going in to get my next ultrasound slip but my doctor listen to baby's heartbeat to. He was a bit upset he missed it.

He couldn't come this time because he's in Alaska on a det but other than that he comes to all of them

He's only missed 1 appt & possibly another today b/c of unplanned work requirement.

My first pregnancy my husband came to every appointment except two because he was in law school and couldn't miss and important lecture or had an exam. This pregnancy he's working at a law firm an hour away from where my doctor's office is so he isn't able to make it to most appointments. He does come to all of my ultrasounds though and works from home those days. If it was at all possible for him to be at every doctor's appointment he would be. The way he sees it is that it's his child too. I'm already carrying and growing it and I'm obligated to be at every appointment because of that, the least he can do is be at the appointments as well.
