Breakthrough bleeding normal?
I feel kind of dumb for asking this since I'm 22. I've been on 3 different birth controls since I was 18, the patch, the pill, the ring, the pill again, and then a student budget version of the pill.
I've been on the student budget version of the pill (basically it's just not name brand it's just the "norgestimate & ethinyl estradol tablets") for about 5 months now, so I have adjusted.
But for my vacation in the beginning of June I was due for my period & I skipped it by just going into my next pack.
My period after that was dark brown at first & then heavy.
I have my next period due next week but this past Monday I randomly bled a good spot of fresh red discharge.
This is normal right? My period is just acting a little whack & it's not implantation bleeding (I take my birth control pretty regularly & I have sex without condoms but I also am active & eat a diet that apparently makes my womb a hostile environment).
I was also told by a nurse that implantation bleeding is just what doctors say when they can't explain the small amount of bleeding since most don't experience it anyway.
