Ovulation Pain.. HELP

Does anyone else have severe pain during ovulation? I always have mild pain, usually it's on and off for about a day. However this time the pain has been SEVERE. Last night and this morning I had an extremely sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It was so bad this morning that I almost had to call into work because I could barely move from the pain. As the day has went on it has lessened a lot but my lower abdomen is just sore and aching, almost like from exercise. Just wondering about other people's experiences.. should I be worried?????
