What is necessary what's not!?

This is my second baby but mind you my daughter will be ten, I just washed a bunch of baby clothes and I was wondering should I use the baby laundry soap? Who uses that? Is it necessary? Also what about like baby water lol? That seems so silly to me but is that necessary?

baby water doesn't have fluoride in it (or very little) depending on what brand you use where-as regular water does. I always used dreft detergent in the begining with all of my kids.  it's good for babies if their skin is sensitive.  when I was ready to switch mine to regular.   I would test wash a couple of things with my laundry to see if they had a reaction.

any laundry detergent that is dye free/fragrance free is better to use on their sensitive skin, it doesn't have to specifically be labeled a baby detergent. I plan on breastfeeding but I wasn't able to with my last baby. I did use water but not nursery water, It's called Gerber pure.

I don't use special detergent or special water but some kids need it from what I hear.
