Depends on who and what the circumstances are. Depends if we can take on the added stress financially and emotionally. I'd have to talk to my SO about it and then the teen's parents/guardians. 
If we agreed, lawyers and legal documents would have to get involved just for basic every care like schooling and drs appts and to cover my family in case the teen's parents end up being crazy.

If the term needs a surrogate parent 9/10 there's a lot of discord in this child's life which is a lot to take on period.
