post pap smear bleeding?

i had my yearly exam this morning and as i was exiting the room i noticed the speculum had a significant but not excessive amount of blood on it and all day old blood discharge has been occurring. has anyone else experienced this? should i be concerned??? ( it is definitely not period blood)

i had a little bleeding when i had my pap done.

They're literally taking cells from your cervix so you can experience bleeding due to an irritated cervix, it's normal. It should stop within a day.

did they do it with the spike metal brush thingy? if so, it definitely cut me too.
