So, I had a scheduled induction at 5:00 am July 21, 2017 due to signs of preeclampsia (extremely high blood pressure, too much protein in my pee, swelling! I got here around 5:03 am and we had to do our paperwork and such and then we were paged to our room, I got to the room and had to do more paperwork🙄 finally all that was done and I got an iv started with fluids to get me ready for pitocin. It started to kick in almost immediately! They were AWFUL but bearable... until I got to a "5" and I'm sure I was really a 7 or 6 but she really didn't know what's she was talking about. I started to decline rapidly, my blood pressure skyrocketed and I got so sick, my mom finally talked me into an epidural and boy am I glad she did! I will tell you i felt NOTHING after the epidural (it took less than 5 minutes to get to me and didn't hurt not one bit, just a little tingle) and delivered less than 4-5 hours after getting it. I pushed for 10 minutes and I didn't rip or tear! Just slight cramping after and I was up and walking within the hour! It is a gods sent medication and I would not have made it through without it. I literally give those of you who have birth naturally my utmost respect, I was in PAIN. But this was my first baby, little Jaxon Ryder weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces and 21 inches long!💙💙 he was most definitely worth the wait. I couldn't be happier with my beautiful babyboy! Looks just like his daddy but with my nose! 😩😍 I am so blessed!
