Can a girl get some insight?

Been off the shit since May 2017 and have been bleeding off and on. Had what I thin is a full fledged period in late June early July ish and bleeding (Not spotting, but clots) ever since then both fresh and the brown old stuff. Is this common? I loved the shot a lot, and it did great for me, just want to know if things will get back to 'normal'. P.S. The days between the bleeding episodes and getting longer, so yay if that's good. Am starting to feel like I am bleeding out my entire womb where it won't grow back or something.
