Which is easier when you have a young baby?

My hair is long.  But every few years I get it cut short. Well,  it has grown out again. it's 1/2 way down my back. Layered, Thick and semi wavy. When air dried naturally. 
When I style it (occasionally)  I straighten it.  Once in a while I'll curl it.  
But,  now,  with a NB... I have time to....  "pull it up" lol.  In a bun. 
 
So,  wondering if it's easier to just cut it short again,  or leave it long. 
Does anyone have any haircut preference when it comes to having babies?

Short hair is harder for babies to pull. You'll also have time to see their little hands reach for it. Long hair they can snatch really fast. Also if they throw up on you it won't get in your hair.

The reason I feel long is better is because I am someone who does nothing to my hair, it air dries and that's it. When it bothers me I love to put it in a bun or a braid. Every time I'm cut it short I get irritated that I don't have the bun/braid option and I feel like it needs more work to look good shorter. That's ME. I have had friends with nb that go both ways. I think it's about how you prefer to go about getting it out of your way.

I don't have any kids, but my mom has told me when I was a baby I would always wrap her hair around my hands.  Her hair was long. So if and when I have kids, I'm definitely cutting my hair.

With my first daughter I had short hair, it was very annoying because it only looked good if I styled it. Now with my second daughter I had/have long hair. It looks fine in a bun, so it's a bit easier to handle. And if it's up in a bun, the baby can't pull it either.

My hair is the most convenient when it's just long enough to do a simple half up half down (maybe small pony tail for you) but think about what you're gonna want in the near future. If your hair will grow out by the time you might want it long again I say just cut it short

I had long hair when I had a little baby and I just made sure it was up in a bun all the time. It can be very painful if you don't keep it up. Even newborns can get a strong hold on that hair.

mine just stayed in a pony. My almost 3 year old is constantly playing with my hair. especially to fall asleep but it hurts, it's not super gentle. I just want to completely shave it off sometimes. lol
