How do you split your bills?

I'm just wondering cause I've seen it's pretty common on here to split the bills 50/50 with your SO. I don't have a partner and I still live with my parents, since I can remember my dad has paid for the bills from rent, council tax to electricity, gas and water, and my mum pays for all the food. If my dad doesn't have enough on his account to pay it all, then my mum would pay the rest. At the end of the month whatever extra money they've got, goes on the savings account.

Everything goes into one account and it's paid from that one account. Our money isnt separate because we are one married unit

My SO makes double what I do. He pays the mortgage and a few house bills plus his own personal bills. I pay the rest of the house bills and my personal ones. People just have to find what works for them.

getting married means 2 people become one. meaning in finances and everything. we both work. it ALL goes into ONE account. from which we pay every bill and everything.  its not MY money or HIS. its OUR money.

Based on how religious my husband is and where he is from he pays all the bills, I paid a few bills a few times and he got offended and now he pays the bills in advance so when I do get it in the mail it's already over paid

We have a joint account so there's no way of knowing who's money actually pays for what

it depends! but it's just easier for most to do 50 50. all the income we make goes into our joint account, and then all bills are paid from that account. I make more than him but it doesn't matter to us because we're married. in our opinion, any money one makes belongs to the both of us.

My parents do it the same exact way as yours. Dad makes more so he pays for the house and all the bills, mom pays for all the food and other household items and will finish paying the bills in the very rare occasion that my dad can't.  I still live with my parents too, but my SO and I have talked about living together soon, so its something to talk about.

I was always raised my father paid all the bills and then gave my mom money to buy groceries. And he still does that now. My boyfriend works and i go to school full time. Im on my dad's health insurance and i get a check from being on his health insurance and i go to alde's and get cheap groceries and fill our pantry up with food bc he's got three kids. I go to school full time, he works and pays the bills. I also use my own money and pay for my gas my own bills for my car insurance, gas, phone bill, dog food for my dog, cat food for his kids cat & like i said i get paid weekly and i use a bit of my check and get groceries too for 7, 9, & a 15 year old that live in our house. So there isn't 50/50 split here. On bills he's never told me to I've always offered he's never accepted it from me or told me to get a job he's just very admitted on me finishing my bachelors degree & trying to get another associates degree too with college.
