Is anyone actually have PPD?

Hello!
Curious if anyone has post partum depression? If so are you and how are you being treated?
I think that I have it but everything I read for treatment is talk-therapy and/or anti-depressants.  I would prefer to not take anti-depressants if Breast feeding.... seems like unclear if safe.
Any advice is appreciated.

I have PPD. I'm on a high dose of an antidepressant because I also have FAS, complex PTSD and a few other things. I'm doing well. My son is 3 months old

I had it and still cope with it occasionally but when I get triggered I don't let the familiar unwanted feelings take over. There are many types of PPD. I had anxiety, PTSD and bi-polar. The intrusive thoughts where terrible! (I had never had depression or mood disorders before pregnancy)
I did not take anti-depressants but focused on diet, exercise and education. Once me and my partner knew what was happening it was easier for him not to blame me and make me feel guilty. He knew I needed help and did his best to reduce stress where he could in our daily lives. 
Talking to someone trained in PPD and nutrition is the best thing you can do. The more you can navigate your thoughts, emotions and get your hormones balanced again the faster you will recover. 
Going untreated can prolong the effects of PPD and lead to major depression lasting for years. 
You have done nothing wrong. I am glad you are asking for help.

I had it ans took antidepressants for 4 months . I also breastfed. Nothing else worked for me besides the medicine .
