I've been in a relationship with the same guy for a while now and he's been unfaithful but I've taken him back every time, but besides the fact of the things he's done does it make sense for me wanting out of the relationship because I don't feel that happy and feel like I don't even know who I am anymore?

You should ask yourself "Am I happy being with a man who cheats?"  "How to I feel about myself?"  "How would it affect my children to know that I stay with a man that disrespects me by sleeping with other women?"  "Do I need to trust the man I'm giving myself to?"  If you can put up with his 💩 and the way he chooses to live his life, there's nothing any of us can say to make you leave. No, I wouldn't put up with that but he's not my man.

If you want a monogamous exclusive relationship then he is not the guy for you.
He needs to accept that he is not capable of monogamy.  This is not a bad thing but he needs to stop lying (intentionally or not). He needs to cultivate relationships with women who are ok with polyamory because he will most likely be curious about other women and need more dynamics than one person can give.
My SO and I are this way. We love each other and will always be with each other. We can also go years being exclusive to each other but if we meet someone else we want to get to know that's ok to. Non of the other relationships ever last but they keep things interesting. No jealousy.
