TTC after miscarriage. How long did you wait? Please comment with thoughts and/or own experiences!

I think it's best to wait until your menstrual cycle is back, so you know where you are in your cycle. Also once your periods are back it shows your body has recovered. It's best to try again as soon as you feel able after miscarriage as there are many articles I've read saying your chances of falling pregnant in the first 6 months after it are quite high.

We waited over six months as I started a new job & here in Australia you have to be in your job for 12 months before the baby is due to receive our 18 weeks of maternity pay. Otherwise I would have tried earlier but I needed a fresh start & we'll really need those payments when the time comes. We actually succeeded in getting pregnant first try but unfortunately I'm miscarrying again....
But I'd suggest to wait for 1 menstrual period & then go for it. It's what I would have done if I could have. Just make sure you're emotionally ready to try again.

I fell pregnant straight away without a period. I originally thought I still had pregnancy hormones left from the baby we lost,but I was gladly mistaken! due 4 weeks exactly after !

I started trying again as soon as bleeding stopped. I got pregnant again the next cycle.

I had to wait for medical reasons for 3 months. That was because I had a partial molar pregnancy. My levels went down right away but I had to make sure they stayed down. I waited the 3 months and ended up pregnant 2 months later. My cycles where really long so it was the 3rd cycle post miscarriage but 5th month.
