My man and I are going through a bit of a rough patch. His parents don't accept me really based on a first impression. I am white and black but really light and he is full black. I love him with everything in me. We still are seeing each other, but we aren't really officially dating right now because of this issue. I met his parents at a dinner and they got really personal really fast about my parents. So my anxiety kicked in and I shut down trying not to cry. Now he thinks it will never get netter but im willing to do anything to make an effort to have them accept me. Every other set of parents I have met loved me. And waited until I got comfortable to ask me personal questions about my family. What should I do?!! This is us by the way

I appreciate all of the positive comments I received. My boyfriend and I are back together and better than ever. He realized that he shouldn't let his parents dictate his happiness and he says I make him happy. We will cross the parents bridge together when it ever comes back up again, but for now we are living a happy and healthy relationship 😍😍😍😍.
