Hi Ladies, last Thursday I went in for my 12 week check-up only to find out that the baby's heartbeat had stopped and development had stopped at the 11 week mark. I was just about to reach the 13 week milestone for our first pregnancy and the news was, and continues to be, devastating. I first saw the baby's heartbeat at 9.5 weeks and it was a strong 142bpm. At the recommendation of my physician, I had a D&C; last Friday, which was far more emotionally taxing than physically. For those that have been through this, my heart is with you... the sadness is overwhelming at times and the thought of trying again is a confusing mix of emotions.

For those that have had a similar experience, how long did you wait to TTC again? My physician said that we can try as soon as my cycle goes back to normal, which may be 6-8 weeks? How long did it take for your hcg levels to drop back to zero? I'm worried If we try too soon, I'll have a false positive HPT. Any insights, advice, or encouragement would be very much appreciated.
