LDS Church
My husband and I are nondenominational Christians. Recently, he was at his college and a classmate asked him to come to church with him. He told him he already has a regular church that we attend. It got them talking, and my husband found that his classmate is Mormon. He was asking him all sorts of questions, trying to figure out the differences between Christianity and the Mormon faith. His classmate said that they basically believe the same thing as we do, and explained a few details that make them slightly different. Most of what he explained was their history and about Joseph Smith and prophets.
That got my husband and I curious...if the LDS church and other denominations of faith claim to essentially believe the same exact thing Christians do, then aren't they saved too? My husband continued to pick this guys brain anytime he went to class with him, just to learn more.
My question is, do you know the differences between Mormonism and Christianity? Are there differences at all? Do you know any other religions that seem extremely similar to Christianity, but are not the same at all?
