I just had my Paragard taken out and this was one of the reasons why. They can't medically prove or disprove it. I lost all my baby weight 3 weeks after birth and got the copper iud placed and gained 20. All in the mid section.

I gained a lot of weight from birth control pills, so if it's a hormonal iud then it definitely could be.
