Are double strollers necessary for 2 under 2?

Question

My daughter will be about 19.5 months old when baby girl #2 arrives. I have 3 strollers: traditional with infant car seat, jogging, and umbrella. Is it necessary to have a double stroller? Also, for those of you who have them, what should I look for? What do you like and dislike about yours? I don't think I want a side by side so I can get through most doors.  Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

My son will be 19 months when our second is born!! We can be in the two under two club together!! Anyways, I've heard that tandem strollers are the way to go with two kiddos!

Yes. I really thought that i could do without it and i managed ok until my LO started getting bigger and heavier. I would baby wear my son as a newborn and my daughter would sit in the stroller. I then tried to put him in the stroller and have my daughter walk, she did ok for a bit but then wanted to be held and would refuse to walk. A double stroller is a must if youre going to be spending quite a bit of time by yourself with the kids. My kids are 10 months apart

My two oldest are 18 months apart that stroller saved us so many times, just make sure you get one easy to fold & drive

We have a contours options double stroller. Our 2 are 12 months apart. We rarely used the stroller Bc it's so big and bulky. It became an inconvenience. I love everything it has it's just heavy and bulky, like I said. So, I feel like it's personal preference. It is easier to just put them in the cart and go.

My oldest was 3 when I had second and double stroller saved my life. Some places it was crazy bc stroller was so big and maneuvering it thru crowds made me wanna scream but my autistic 3 yr old would wiggle her hand free and just run. It was fun to her. So it helped me.
