Why is my period late

I'm under a lot of stress right now with school starting again and a im currently in a toxic relationship and family/friend related stress as well. I was on the pill and on my inactive pills. As per usual when I had my period the last times I was also in the inactive pills first came the yellow thicker discharge then brown discharge then bleeding like normal, but this time around the brown discharge is lasting longer than usual, to confess I haven't been responsible whatsoever this last pack of pills, I was taking them at different times in the day, when I would forget a pill I took 2 the next day no matter what week I was on, it was pretty bad since I wasn't having sex, I feel a normal period with cramps I'm just not bleeding like a normal period, I have some light blood but I'm not sure if It was me being reckless with taking my birth control or stress or a mixture of both but I just want to know this is either normal or normal things are gonna happen or if it's happened to anyone else and I'm kind of freaking out and I don't know if I should start the new pack after the inactive pills finish or wait out my period then start a new pack or if I'm even pregnant, which I figure I'm not since I'm not experiencing any other early pregnancy symptoms, I just need to know I'm okay and not pregnant
