Natural yeast infection remedies that work?

I've never had a yeast infection before but I do now and I'm miserable :( I'm so itchy and there's so much gross discharge, I hate it. I tried putting coconut oil on a tampon and inserting it earlier, but I have yet to see if it does anything. What are some natural remedies that worked for you?? I've heard of women putting yogurt, garlic, tea tree oil, etc on a tampon and inserting it but idk that sounds a little scary to me. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!!
