Buy home fetal heartbeat doppler?

You can purchase fetal dopplers for pretty cheap ($30-$50) at Walmart, Target, and online. I'm really debating if I want to buy one! My first doc. appointment is at 8 weeks and I'm not sure I can wait that long to hear my baby's heartbeat!

I had a hard time finding my baby's heart beat until third trimester and that just made me worry more throughout my pregnancy. I'd say just wait for your appt

You won't find it on a Doppler until 10-12 weeks. I bought one and we found it every time from 10 weeks on. I don't recommend getting one if you're going to freak out if you can't find it though. My midwife strongly advised us not to get one for that reason but we did anyway and just promised to each other that we wouldn't spaz out

You will likely not hear it with a Doppler at 8 weeks. Doc couldn't find it until 16 weeks with the Doppler.

You wont be able to hear thru a doppler until past 10 weeks, usually past 12 weeks in most cases. Even at the doctor

I didn't use mine as much as I expected to, but there were a few times in the second and third trimester where my baby wasn't moving when I pressed on him and I panicked that he was dead, but I was able to listen to his heart beat on the Doppler and it was reassuring

Been hearing mine with this doppler since 10 weeks. But it took a while to find it even then, so if you're super early you'll likely worry yourself.

My fiancé bought one for us. We haven't had a problem ever finding the heartbeat. I lost part of my mucus plug last week and was very worried but this really helped! Just being able to hear our little boys heartbeat makes it all better!

I got one off of amazon call Bjingles or something like that and I could find the heartbeat at 14 weeks.

I think they're a waste. There's a small window where it's useful. But I've heard most can't really find a heartbeat until 11-12 weeks and then they start moving at any point after that. It's like finding a moving needle in a haystack and is not worth the anxiety imo.
