D&C, MVA or D&E??

Question

Has anyone had an MVA (vacuum aspiration), D&E; or D&C;? Wondering risks across all of them.

I had a D&C; in March at 11 weeks. Baby measures 10 weeks and no heartbeat. After the surgery I still had some spotting that grew to dark red and I thought I was starting my period already. Turned out I had retained tissue that I started to flush out with Misoprostol 2 weeks after the surgery. It made it's way down past the point of seeing it on the ultrasound and then I saw it actually pass about a week later.

I had an mva under local anaesthetic yesterday and not gonna lie the procedure hurt like hell when they were doing it. But pretty much as soon as it had finished all pain was gone and things are good. I bled a bit yesterday afterwards but stopped last night. (likely I'll start spotting again soon though) even though it was painful it only lasted about 10 mins so I'd definitely recommend since the recovery time seems so small
