How would you react to an employee/coworker making a 9/11 joke?

Someone made a 9/11 joke at my work and I didn't know what to say, idk what to think of stuff like that.

ask them "I don't get it, can you explain why it's funny?" and when they try to explain it, keep telling them you don't get it.

What part of 9/11 is funny? How can a joke even be made? I would tell the person how disrespectful it is.

Ignore it and move on with your day. Or just simply say "thats not a thing to joke about" then move on..No there is nothing funny about 9/11 but you cant force them to apologize and you also cant fire someone for making an inappropriate joke. Getting all mad about it isnt going to do anything helpful, its only going to add fuel to the fire

Depends. I'm pretty comfortable with sarcasm, satire, irreverent, inappropriate, dark humor. I think you need to know your audience. Jokes are funny unless you're hurting someone. Then you're a bully.

Quickly tell them it's inappropriate and not funny,  then move on about my day. I do the same with dead baby jokes. Death isn't a game or joke.

I just wouldn't laugh. I don't find 9/11 jokes funny but I don't think it's worth a confrontation over unless you lost someone in it.

I would just say, "Jokes don't pay bills unless your a comedian.. and this isn't the fucking Apollo 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ GET BACK TO WORK!!!"
