Is there any car accessories that are actually safe to make newborn comfortable?

I heard anything from inserts to the strap cushions is not safe ?

Many of the Chicco keyfit 30 seats come with infant inserts that have been crash tested & are approved for use in that seat up to a certain weight (I believe mine was 11 lbs). The picture is not the exact one I have but similar.

Baby should be in clothes that fit, nothing too baggy, and no coats. There shouldn't be anything between the car seat and your baby. If baby is very small, you can use rolled up blankets to keep him/her snug. Ask the nurses, they should be able to help you. My son was 4lbs 8oz when we went home and he seemed very comfortable in the car seat.

Only use what your carseat comes with using other things can make the warranty void and void insurance coverage if anything happens the only thing that is ok to use is rolled up receiving blankets

I have the chicco keyfit 30 and it came with inserts so those are safe. I would pick a car seat that comes with them or just use rolled up blankets.
