Are transgender people treated like 'punching bags'?
I just read an article (in response to layers trump tweets) that stated that tans people are often treated like 'punching bags' these days. That is to say that people in general are very insensitive towards them, that they are often used as scapegoats and blamed for all kinds of things (like costing the military money), that people in general don't care about the problems they face (citing a statistic that 50% of trans children report suicidal thoughts) etc. Do you think this is true? Do you think trans people are treated worse overall than they were five years ago? Or ten years ago? Any other thoughts about trans rights and public opinion. Let's not make this a debate about your personal option of trans people or the trans community please.
