Bleeding

I know it's normal to have bleeding for a few months after insertions. I got mine inserted about a month ago and had cramps and spotting on and off. Last week I got my period, I'm pretty sure, and it was pretty normal to what it was before. It stopped and a few days later I got what's seemed like another period but it's really heavy, like I haven't had one this heavy ever, and it's lasting longer than normal. I'm wondering if it's normal or if I should be worried about this possibly being bleeding from expulsion? I have a hard time finding the strings or even reaching my cervix to begin with to check because my fingers are small.

Update: I managed to find the strings so idk if this is just an abnormal period as it's a common side effect?
