I'm expecting my first baby any day now, and I am so totally torn on bed sharing. On the one hand, it's supposed to be awesome for breastfeeding, which is very important to me. On the other, I am terrified that something might happen to harm my baby.

To those of you who have done it, what tips do you have?

I think probably my biggest question is what is the deal with blankets? I know babies aren't supposed to have blankets in their cribs, so if I bed share, should I skip a blanket for myself?

I am open to safety tips but I don't need any stories of "this baby died etc," I know there are risks which is why I am so torn on the whole thing, I don't need any horror stories please. 🙂
