I've also considered changing the spelling of Leon to Lyon.  I like the way it floes and sounds but my folks are super pissed about the middle name because they don't want my son to be made fun of. I honestly don't believe there's an issue with the name choice. So ladies and gents, if you discovered your classmate had Grace as a middle name and was male, what would you do or think

eh, it's not my favorite, but it's alright. I wouldn't spell Leon like Lyon though, it appears to be pronounced more like Lion.

But like what your parents told you, the middle name... maybe not. They shouldn't be "pissed" about the name - it's your choice, not theirs. Kids are mean. They find things to make fun of.
But at the end of the day it's your choice! Not mine, your parents, or anyone else here on Eve.
