how do you grocery shop?

i really dont know how.... i spend 300 every single month and always end up with no food by the end of the month..... what can i be doing wrong? how do you grocery shop? please give me tips.

Do you have aldi where you live? I'm in Minnesota and food is so amazingly priced, as well as baby necessities!! Just got a blow up baby bathtub for 2.99! Otherwise I would say coupons and don't buy food that doesn't actually fill you up. Buying food for fuel rather than fun has saved my family a lot of money!

I make menus for the week so I know what I need to get and don't buy things I don't need.

I spend $150- $180 every Friday and by Monday/Tuesday I'm scrounging for something to make lol. The joy of a house full of growing boys! (4) Ages 9-14.. Thank god mommy and daddy are expecting a baby girl in 2 weeks. I shop at Ralph's with their online coupons, big help but costly to feed kids lol

I wish I could only spend $300 per month in groceries 😩 I shop at Costco for produce and only buy meat that's a good deal there or on sale at regular grocery stores and everything else I but I try to get on sale or use coupons and still spend at least $600 per month for our family of 4. And I could easily spend more since that never even seems to be enough! But I live in N.B. Canada and our prices for food are pretty high.

I go to Costco to by meat in bulk (freeze whatever meat you know you won't use any time soon). I also stock up on rice or pasta so if we run out of meals by the end of the 2 weeks (I go grocery shopping every 2 weeks) I could throw something together with the rice or pasta and some type of meat that was in the freezer.

I usually spend 100 ish every 2 weeks. I buy the big packs of meat and separate and freeze them to use as needed. big tubs of salad, $1 pastas and rices, bread and milk as needed, $5-10 on misc veggies and fruits every week.
