Are you suppose to add to under arm temp?

11 week olds temp under arm is 100.7. She got shots yesterday.. Do you add a degree or leave it?
Doctor warned me that she may be extra sleeping and have a slight fever for up to 48 hours after. I just didn't know if I am suppose to add a degree for arm temp and take away one for the rectal temp.

I personally wouldn't take my baby in unless the fever was over 102 at that age. 100 is a low grade fever. I would just watch it.

The most accurate way to take an infants temp is rectally.

But even with shots I highly recommend calling your pediatrician. Especially if your little one is acting abnormal.
