I was so stressed and struggled with missing my son when he was with his father so casually dating was a nice way of keeping me busy and kind of forcing me to get out and have fun. I was with my sons dad for 6 years starting our senior year of high school and we had a very toxic relationship. Dating after him was a serious eye opener and I am very glad I decided to start very quickly after leaving him. It really depends on your situation and how the breakup went.
