How do you guys bond with step kids? i try and my step son just gets shy or it looks like he doesn't want to play with me because he thinks it's wrong. He's 2.5 y/o & the other is going to be 2 in oct. the smaller one is a super mommas boy and barely goes with his dad but i think he'll come around on his own (they split when he was 3months old). But the oldest, he's super attached to his daddy and he took it hard when his mom and dad split. he was so used to having both of them so when i came around he like smiles at me but gets shy or idk 😐 i honestly feel like his mom tells him about me and his dad 😐 he watches when his dad gives me a kiss and it just looks like he knows it use to be his mom... He looks at the pictures we have up in the room and names everybody, then when his dad shows him a picture of me, he pushes it away 👀 He's very smart for a 2 year old he was super smart as a 1 year old. Like he acts like he's 5!! He's so adorable though omg lol I'm just having a hard time bonding with him. Do y'all think it'll get easier when he's older? He'll hold my hand when we walk in stores sometimes or we'll play catch once in a great while. Should i just give it time ? I'm not trying to force anything & am def not trying to take his moms place. I just feel like I should be more involved somehow 🤔
