In the past my husband has mentioned that he would feel bad if I had one because he would feel like he couldn't please me. He does please me, I just hate always asking him for sex, you know? I'm the same way my sex drive is way higher than my SO's and sometimes he's too tired or just not in the mood when I am I told him I wanted one and he got upset at first because he thought it's because he doesn't please me good enough. IMO you shouldn't have to "ask" for it. I have bought my own and later shared it with my hubby. We also have toys we used together in bed, I did buy him a toy to use on his own but he didn't like it 🙈😂 
 Couples have different levels of comforts when it comes to sexuality. If you feel more comfortable having a convo about it before buying one because he's previously expressed feelings about it, then do so but not to ask, rather an honest convo about you thinking what kind you should get, maybe mention if it would be fun to get some toys for the both of you etc. Who says you can only have one toy? 😏 think about it this way... what if he wanted to get a toy? would you feel like you couldn't please him? What would you want to hear from him in a situation like that? Maybe he just needs assurance. I think as long as it's an open and honest convo you will be fine. I bought a couple of them and used them as a way to get my boyfriend excited. I told him I went to the sex shop and bought a couple of things, wouldn't tell him what, and pulled his attention in with that. We don't live together so it brought on a sense of curiosity for him and he got off really quick watching me play with myself while we were intimate.
