Antidepressants and Periods

So I just recently started taking the antidepressant Cipralex about a week ago, and my period was supposed to start on Tuesday coming up. However, I got extreme cramps yesterday -I'm on birth control so they're never that bad- and it started later that day, around 4 days early. Has anyone else ever had this, and if so, do you have any advice and does this go away? I'm always regular because of my birth control pills so this is terrifying me.
