18 weeks preggo, Halls breezers cough drops?

Question

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with a killer sore throat due to two canker sores residing in the back of my throat. 
I bought these today but haven't opened because I want to make sure it's okay to eat. 
It says it has 7mg of pectin in it. 
Anyone have any insight? I'd really Appreciate it cause my throat hurts :(

It's gross if you're like me and don't like buttermilk but my grandad swears by it for canker sores. He soaks a cotton ball in it and puts it on the sore. I've tried it once and it did help them go away faster.

I took these sometime in my first trimester when I had a nasty cold. I don't remember when but I was fine. Doctor told me I could take them and robitissun.

Pectin is essentially fruit gelatin, I don't see how that could hurt the baby

Yup! I took them when I was pregnant. They didn't work as well as other kind, but they did the job. I ate them like candy because I was so sick.
