How much water do you give to your 6 month old?

My bubs is formula fed and on purees, I read no more than 60ml of water for a 6 month old, is that true? I only ask because it's been so long since I had my other kids and can't remember and my friend told me if I didnt give my bubs water he'll get constipated 🤔

I would give him 2 ounces a day if that. BE CAREFUL WITH WATER.  
I give my four month old and ounce a week right now.

If you're giving your baby formula, they get water from that obviously. I'm not sure about giving it straight water. Maybe juice mixed with water. But no more than a couple ounces for the day. Ask your pediatrician.

And when my son is constipated water solves it straight away. Babies ARE aloud water at this age. My doctor and health visitor were saying water was okay ever since he was born.

I asked my health visitor how much water is allowed and she said as much as he wants. She said if he keeps taking it then great. He will grow to like drinking water

he won't get constipated without drinking water. they're not SUPPOSED to have any water at this age, but if you feel the need to give them any at all, don't exceed 2 ounces in 24 hrs.
