Is it okay for men to show emotion?

Why do we (not all but some of society) tell our men that our not allowed to show emotion? I was scrolling down my timeline a male that I don't know personally saying he wanted kill himself. I commented and prayed for him. Another woman commented and told him to do kill himself and shut the fuck up he wasn't a real man with his retarded attention seeking ass. I was in shock she made more comment talking about ridding the black race of weakling boys like him. I told her she was out of line and not talk someone sucidal like that. She said he is man not allowed to feel that way. I was honestly shocked. I tried reporting it but Facebook said didn't violate community standards.
