When it's feeding time...

Curious to know... Do you wake your baby if he/she is sleeping and it's feeding time?

When my son was a newborn I would wake him during the day if he slept more than an hour past a feeding. At night I would let him sleep. I found that doing this helped establish a routine and encourage night time sleep.

I plan on breastfeeding on demand, so if she's not demanding, I probably won't wake her.

I did the first week and a half. Then I got lazy with it... and he slept a little longer two nights... once for 6 hours.
Otherwise he wakes on his own every 2-3 hours.

Also,  how old is your little one?  And how long does baby nap for

Never. My daughter has no problem telling me when she needs to eat. She's not starving by any means and is gaining the appropriate weight as well. So if she's sleeping, I let her sleep 😊

If they sleep for too long I wake them.

Nope my daughter was gaining plenty of weight so I didn't wake

nope. I let my son sleep, once he has gotten back to to his birth weight.

Only if it's been 3½-4 hr since he ate.  But he always sleeps and then eats upon waking so usually he wakes himself bc he's hungry. I've only had to wake him a few times to eat tho.
