I personally can't stand the terms baby and bae (especially bae). My fiancé and I use sweetheart and honey on occasion. He'll call me princess very rarely and usually when he's teasing me. But 95% of the time we use names. Its just the way we are- we don't really use pet names. But when we do use them it's usually just an endearment and a verbal way of saying we care.

My Boyfriend and I call each other Babe. It started as a really mean joke, mocking couples who call each other pet names cuz we didn't get it aaaaaand it just stuck. Now it really is a term of endearment and I'm so embarrassed at how ignorant/stupid I used to be. I apologize to everyone who uses pet names btw, I was stupid, young, and didn't understand. Now I do, 7 years of calling my man Babe lol
