Boyfriend issues

Hey girls, I've been with my boyfriend for over a year now and we live together. I'm so crazy in love with him and constantly catch myself looking at him wondering how I got so lucky. I don't feel like it's reciprocated. I know he loves me and cares about me but he doesn't show it. He isn't big on PDA and I've told him it's something that's important to me. I want to feel loved and like he's just as crazy about me. We broke up half way through the relationship because he stopped treated me well and I thought ending things would show him I'm dead serious I want change. I took him back over a month later and he promised change. When we got back together he told me I was beautiful every single day for at least a month. He never says it anymore and I brought it up and he said we all move through things.... what does that even mean lol when I tell him how I feel and that I just want more effort he gets upset and says he's never good enough for me. What are you guys' thoughts on the situation? Maybe I'm just too clingy?
