My fiancé and I will get married when he's 26 and I'm 25. At that time I'll still have 2.5yrs lefts of my residency program. We'd like to wait until I'm finished my residency to start our family. Mostly because being pregnant while doing my residency would be problematic since I wouldn't be able to do a lot of things I need to do, so I'd likely have to take a year off. So, we'll start our family after my residency is complete. 
I would like to start a little earlier, but due to my residency that's not possible. I'd like to be a younger mum and after 30 it can be more difficult to conceive of you haven't already had a child before. So I'd like to start having kids around 28/29. We want 3 kids and want them all within 5yrs of each other. For us, that's the time when my fiancé will be well established in his career and I'll be board certified and hopefully in a good position. It's the time that'll work best of us to have kids.

I agree that you should do it when you're ready but I also think you should have your fun stage!  Travel,  have fun,  meet people,  eat new foods,  go on adventures because when you have kids everything  can change that.  I am 20 and couldn't imagine starting a family yet because I'm just starting to have fun!  But,  my sister started when she was eighteen!!  So,  again I say do it when You are ready.  Everybody is different.  My sister may have started early on but I probably won't start for a fee years down the road!
